Banning of Older Aircraft Expands As Korea Seeks 20 Year Limit

The issue of asset lives continues to be an issue for many owners given that aircraft are portrayed by some as having shorter lives than was previously the case, with the move by many countries to limit the operation of older aircraft contributing to the perception that older aircraft – more than 20 years of age – will be increasingly difficult to place.
