Dash8 Values Temporarily Benefit From Toronto Agreement

March 24, 2003

Values of the Dash8 secured a fillip as Bombardier workers at the Toronto facility agreed to a new contract that will keep production of the turboprop ticking over at the facility for the next three years, subject to market demand. In return for a 7 percent wage increase over three years, new working practices and changes to benefits, production of the of the Dash8 and Global Express will remain at Toronto through to June 2006. However, the plant will lose employees as part of Bombardier Aerospace recent cuts of 3,000 employees from plants in North America and Northern Ireland, in addition to the 6,000 already laid off.
