Turboprop Values Exhibit Some Stability

April 5, 2004

Turboprop values s have exhibited a measure of stability after experiencing a period of decline. Despite the sustained surplus, the high level of availability and increased emphasis on freighter conversions, the absence of new deliveries and the continued need for turboprops allowed the values of some models to remain virtually unchanged over the last six months. The principal concern lay with initial variants of the few models that remain in production. Having seen 15 years of service, age is beginning to be a factor. Inevitably, such aircraft are likely to experience a greater ebb and flow on the used market.
