Long-Term Residuals Still Under Scrutiny as P&W Accelerates New Engine

Despite the extending backlog of deliveries for the B737 and A320 families the prospect of replacement for both models within the next seven years remains very real as Pratt & Whitney [UTC] seeks to test a new engine as soon as 2007.
