Aircraft Values Will Rise on Back of Strong Traffic Growth

August 2, 2010

The recovery in aircraft values will be largely be driven by the sustained rise in air traffic in the coming years and forecasts produced by ICAO suggest that such traffic will emerge. The most notable elements of the forecast from ICAO relate to the buoyant projections for the Middle East and Asia/Pacific and the lack luster traffic in North America. The Asia/Pacific and Middle East regions are already demonstrating significant growth for this year such that rates of 10.8 percent and 15.5 percent for the year as a whole are realistic. China and India are once again viewed as the principal sources of demand in Asia.
