MD80 Values Continue to Fade As SAS Orders Replacements

Five years ago some suggested that the then low capital cost of the M80 made it inevitable that the type would once again be absorbed back into the fleet but the recent announcement by stalwart operator SAS that it will replace the type with a mix of B737NGs underlines the lack of suitability for asset based financing.
