FAA ETOPs Ruling Consolidates Widebody Twins Value Advantage

The Federal Aviation Administrations (FAA) relaxation, indeed elimination, of Extended Twin Engine Operation (ETOPs) restrictions provides a fillip to values of longer-range, twin-engined widebodies, allowing the aircraft to compete on equal footing to three- and four-engined aircraft such as the MD11 and A340.
