B777-200ER Values Remain Stable

August 8, 2005

The Boeing [BA] B777-200ER continues to be viewed with considerable enthusiasm, so much so that values remain relatively stable. The expansion of the customer base in recent years coupled with the ongoing popularity have persuaded financial institutions to participate in sale and leasebacks and other financing instruments. However, over the last two years, the order total has managed to increase by only about 10 units while deliveries have increased by some 40 units. The arrival of the -300ER has done much to divert attention away from the -200ER. The backlog has fallen from nearly 100 -200ERs two years ago to only 60.
